New England’s favorite folk weekend is almost underway! With the Newport Folk Festival coming to Fort Adams State Park from July 24-26, 2026.

Friday, July 24

Hayley Williams has had a busy 2026. From releasing her third solo record, Ego Death at a Bachelorette Party, to touring the world, The lead singer of Paramore continues on her busy performance streak. Williams made a surprise appearance during Jack Antonoff’s Ally Coalition Talent Show set at last year’s festival. As the first confirmed performer of the 2026 lineup, Williams is expected to deliver even more surprise guests during her “& Friends” set on Friday.

Courtney Barnett and Lucy Dacus are both set to perform for the fourth time at this year’s Newport Folk Festival. The Australian singer-songwriter will also be playing the night prior at the Newport Blues Cade with Tiny Gun as a benefit show, while the American fan-favorite plays shows that week along the East Coast on her Forever Is a Feeling Tour.

Saturday, July 25

Powerhouse performers Lizzy McAlpine and The Lumineers lead Saturday’s lineup. McAlpine is scheduled to play her first Newport Folk Fest, while the American band attends for their first time in over a decade. After releasing their self-titled debut album, The Lumineers played the main stage back in 2013.
