Indie stalwarts Destroyer and Cate LeBon share top billing for the annual Woodsist Festival, which returns to Accord, NY’s Arrowood Farm Brewery on Saturday, September 26 and Sunday, September 27.
The carefully curated festival, which has called Arrowood Farms home for a weekend each fall since 2021, will also feature performances by Toody Cole of legendary Portland punk band Dead Moon, a set from Queens’ Frog, a solo performance by Tuareg guitar hero Mdou Moctar, and a set from Ryan Davis and the Roadhouse Band who are quickly becoming music festival favorites.

The two-stage Woodsist Fest also has a reputation for including jazz, world, and up-and-coming acts each year. Sets by Steve Okonksi’s eponymous piano trio (Okonski has released two critically acclaimed albums on the Colemine Records label) and a tribute to Alice Coltrane should particularly interest jazz-lovers. Divine Songs: The Music of Alice Coltrane will be a one-off tribute set to the jazz-harp and organ spiritual jazz matriarch. More details about Divine Songs (i.e. the lineup of musicians) will be forthcoming. The tribute set follows a recent resurgence and reinterest in Coltrane’s music among DJs, record collectors, and heads. Last year, John and Alice Coltrane’s son Ravi performed tribute shows for his mother at Carnegie Hall and The Egg, and a new biography by Andy Beta entitled Cosmic Music was released earlier this year.
In addition to assistance in festival curation, Woods will also perform during the weekend. Formed in Brooklyn in 2004, the psychedelic folk-rock band Woods is fronted by Jeremy Earl (guitar, drum loops, keyboards, vocals) and supported by multi-instrumentalist and producer Jarvis Tavenier. Woods has also operated the Woodsist record label since 2006 and held the Woodsist Festival every year since 2009.

The inaugural Woodsist Festival took place in Brooklyn in 2009 with Thee Oh Sees headlining alongside a number of acts including Beach Fossils, Real Estate, and Kurt Vile. Since then, the festival has been presented in various locations including Big Sur, Point Reyes National Seashore, and Pioneertown, CA. The festival found its home at Arrowood Farms in 2019, presented in partnership with Ground Control Touring and premiere Hudson Valley concert promoters Impact Concerts.
Tickets for Woodsist Festival 2026 are sold exclusively through TIXR and can be purchased here.
Arrowood Farms is located at 236 Lower Whitfield Rd, Accord, NY 12404. While camping is not available on site, the Roundout Valley Resort Campgrounds is only a mile from the festival. Carpooling is encouraged as parking is limited.
