De La Soul and Killer Mike send a shoutout to mothers everywhere with the official video for “A Quick 16 for Mama” from Cabin In The Sky, De La Soul’s 10th studio album, available now on Mass Appeal Records.
Cabin In The Sky, released on Mass Appeal Records as part of the label’s ambitious Legend Has It… series, made in the shadow of Dave Jolicoeur’s (Trugoy the Dove) death, while grounded in the musical craftsmanship that has defined the group since the late 1980s.
“A Quick 16 for Mama,” featuring Killer Mike (Run the Jewels) is focused and deliberate, with Mike appearing briefly alongside duo’s verses.
