Orchestra of the Southern Finger Lakes

OSFL is one of a kind, as it is the only Symphonic Orchestra in the region. Formed in 1995 as a fusion of Corning Philharmonic Society and the Elmira Symphony and Choral Society, with the goal of sharing classical music to the community. The organization offers full orchestra concerts and a Musician’s Choice Chamber Music Series each year. The program also provides music education and performance opportunities, with The Youth Orchestra Of the Southern Finger Lakes and the Junior String Ensemble.

The Chamber Music Series gives members of the Orchestra an opportunity to display their skills through short concerts and unique venues in Rochester. The series acts as a creative outlet for members to perform outside of a typical orchestra setting. It also allows them to share their knowledge to the audience as they perform.
