Bronx Summer Jam will return to Bronx Park East on June 20 for its fifth annual festival. The free event, for all ages, will run from 12 pm to 8 pm. The event will have live music, DJs, bands, vendors, and community programming, giving back to the lively Bronx neighborhood.
The festival is produced by Sirens & Kings, a collaboration between The Fox & King and Sounds & Sirens. The event first launched in 2022 as a way to help bring more live music back to the Bronx after the COVID-19 pandemic.
“What makes Bronx Summer Jam special? The People,” said Fernando Michael, founder of The Fox and King. “This isn’t only our five-year anniversary; it’s the culmination of years of building something special for our community. Collectively, we have over 15 years of experience, and it’s an honor for us to showcase that with this communal event.”
This year’s festival will feature two stages, the Kings Stage and the Sirens Stage. The Kings Artist Stage lineup includes Bedlam Barrio, Saay Park, Cori Bratz, Kaymars, Chris Pain, Jhoni Hood, Nenny Melodias, Rainey, and Lee Burgos.
Over on the Sirens DJ Stage will feature Bojaq, Disco Curandera, and Mota throughout the day. The lineup is filled with various sounds and styles, offering a diverse range of music.
“What started as a passion project has grown into something that truly belongs to the community. Year after year, The Bronx shows up for local music, for the artists and each other,” said Michael Nickerson, founder of Sounds & Sirens.
Additionally, the festival will feature food and beverage vendors. These include Cinco De Mayo, No Fork, Yummy Dips, Red Bull, and Hal’s New York. A local vendor market will also have free books from Norwood Community Library, apparel from UNYC, local goods from Butchies Mouth, and art and crafts from Bunnyleesworld.
