Trey Anastasio and Billy Strings will play two shows together this November to benefit the Divided Sky Foundation. These shows will take place on Friday, Nov. 20 and Saturday, Nov. 21 at the DCU Center in Worcester, MA.
In Oct. 2024, Phish played three Divided Sky benefit shows at MVP Arena in Albany. These 2024 shows raised a total of $4 million in support of the foundation. Anastasio’s Worcester shows with Billy Strings, backed by the Trey Anastasio Band, will likewise donate all proceeds to Divided Sky.
After overcoming drug addiction, Anastasio co-founded the Divided Sky Foundation to support others through their own addiction recovery journeys. The non-profit organization’s Residential Recovery Program, based in Ludlow, VT, helps its guests “build a strong foundation for lasting, joyful sobriety” through activities that include meditation, time outdoors, and emotional reflection.
Strings has maintained a close relationship with Anastasio on his journey to sobriety as well, saying in a recent interview with David Marchese of the New York Times, “I’m 10 years sober from alcohol, and I’m definitely drawing a line in the sand. All this generational trauma has to stop with me. I’m going to give my son a life very different from mine.”
The proceeds from the Worcester shows will help the Divided Sky Foundation keep their program affordable, offer financial assistance to those in need, and continue their mission of helping people find lasting recovery from addiction.
