Patty Griffin Announces Summer Tour

Patty Griffin, a 2x Grammy-award-winning-singer-songwriter, has announced her North American summer tour. The tour includes 4 NY dates in Woodstock, Katonah, Port Washington, and New York City.

Patty Griffin is an acclaimed and celebrated artist. Last year, she was Grammy-nominated for her 11th studio collection, Crown of Roses. She is known for her music drifting from folk to gauzy Americana with hints of gospel blues. Crown of Roses is one of her most acclaimed and profound works, which will be celebrated on her tour.

The New York Times stated that, “Crown of Roses presents a version of Griffin so sure of herself, so comfortable in the dim candlelight of the unknown. Her voice is colored with a character that feels earned, like leather softened from years of loving wear, with gradation that makes it seem new and different when the light hits just so.”

Patty Griffin will be accompanied by her trio, David Pulkingham, on guitar, and Michael Longoria, on the drums. The tour will include headline performances and dates with Kathleen Edwards, the special guest.

The tour begins in Woodstock at the historic Bearsville Theatre and will continue through August.

Within New York State, Griffin’s tour will also visit Katonah, NY, at the Venetian Theatre at Caramoor Center for Music and the Arts on July 11th, Port Washington, at the Landmark on Main Street on July 25th, and New York City at the Kaufmann Concert Hall on July 27th.

Mojo highlights that Patty Griffin is “Worth the wait. Her voice is on excellent form and her band has its understated arrangements down to an art.”

Tickets go on sale on Friday, April 17th, and are available here. More information can be found on Patty Griffin’s website.
