SYNACURE Explores Resilience in “Brooklyn Healing”

Manhattan-born producer and musician SYNACURE delves into the resilience and restorative powers of community in his latest single “Brooklyn Healing,” released Oct. 16.

The song draws strength from the people and places of Brooklyn, a very different part of the city than SYNACURE’s lifelong home of Manhattan, the artist said.

“‘I Luv NYC’ was originally an 11-minute love letter to New Yorkers telling them to keep on truckin’ because we have been through so much and yet we’re still here keeping it real. There was so much to say that I couldn’t figure out how to get it all in,” SYNACURE said. “While writing it, I’d regularly bike over to Brooklyn to see friends, shoot videos, or just get out. The difference in vibe from Manhattan, where I’ve lived almost my whole life, was obvious. In Brooklyn, the buildings are lower, you can see the sky, and there are all these different neighborhoods. You can let your guard down – that was my ‘Brooklyn Healing.’”

“Brooklyn Healing” is SYNACURE’s third single of 2026, following his June release “I Luv NYC” and August track “Who Are We Now,” a commentary on the spiritual crisis in the world featuring percussionist Baba Don Babatunde and Abiodun Oyewole of The Last Poets.

Inspired by African, Latin, funk, disco, hip hop, house and more, the tracks follow SYNACURE’s established electronic-organic sound hybrid. All have been released under independent label ZIQ STREET, founded by New York musician, songwriter and producer Bryan Lurie. The label operates under the perspective of “all music is respected,” presenting artists and music with connections to Afro-Cuban, Brazilian and African traditions as well as folk, funk, house and improvisational rock.
