Ringo Starr to Play Three NY Shows During Fall Tour

Ringo Starr and His All Starr Band will play three shows in New York state during their fall tour.

Starr and his band, which includes Steve Lukather, Colin Hay, Warren Ham, Hamish Stuart, Gregg Bissonette and Buck Johnson, announced 10 new tour dates for September and October, including shows in Bethel, Queens and Albany.

The tour will make a stop at PNC Bank Arts Center in Holmdel, New Jersey on September 27, and at Forest Hills Stadium in Queens on October 1. These performances will mark the first time since he performed there with The Beatles, who played two historic sold-out shows on August 28 and 29 in 1964 as their first-ever stadium shows. 

“We just finished a spring tour which ended at the Greek,” said Starr. “It was all so great — the audiences were so loving, and I just love playing with this band. I’m really looking forward to these fall shows.”

Additionally on July 7, Ringo’s birthday, he invites everyone everywhere to say, think or post Peace & Love at 12:00 p.m. their local time. Ringo has been dedicating his birthdays to promoting Peace & Love since 2008, and the movement has grown to include events all over the world and into the stars with support from NASA. Ringo will be celebrating with friends, family and fans in Los Angeles, which will be livestreamed across his social media platforms. 

There will also be Peace & Love events all over the world, organized by fans. His Facebook features a list of events. 

Furthermore, Starr released Long Long Road in April. It is his 22nd solo album and his second co-written and produced by T Bone Burnett. The highly anticipated follow-up to last year’s chart-topping Look Up, the 10-song album includes collaborations with Sheryl Crow, Sarah Jarosz, Billy Strings, Molly Tuttle and St. Vincent.
