The Finger Lakes GrassRoots Festival of Music and Dance returns to the Trumansburg Fairgrounds in Trumansburg, NY for its 34th annual edition July 16 through 19, 2026, with a lineup headlined by Rhiannon Giddens, Taj Mahal and the Del McCoury Band.

Tickets and camping passes are on sale now at grassrootsfest.org. Children under 12 are admitted free with a parent or guardian.
The festival spreads across four days and four stages with world, national, regional and local music. It is hosted by Trumansburg-based Americana founders Donna the Buffalo, who have organized the event since its inception.
Giddens, a Grammy Award winner, MacArthur Fellow and Pulitzer Prize winner, leads a bill that also includes Grammy Award-winning Delta blues and roots icon Taj Mahal, Grammy Award-winning bluegrass legend the Del McCoury Band, Latin Grammy Award-winning Venezuelan folklorica cuatro masters C4 Trio and returning favorites Ukrainian folk quartet Dakhabrakha and American roots reggae founders John Brown’s Body.
International highlights include Yemeni punk-folk rockers El Khat, Senegalese master sabar percussionist and griot lineage holder Aba Diop Trio and Ireland’s electrifying family act The Byrne Brothers. Louisiana Zydeco is represented by Keith Frank and the Soileau Zydeco Band alongside his father, Zydeco legend Preston Frank. More than 80 additional artists round out the full lineup.
Located just minutes from Ithaca and Cayuga Lake in the heart of the Finger Lakes, the GrassRoots festival is a family-friendly camping event now in its fourth decade.
