Buffalo-based jam band and winner of 2021 NYS Music March Madness, Organ Fairchild paid a visit to Rochester on Friday, January 17, playing Flour City Station.
Joining the party on the edge of downtown, was Rochester’s own Light Sensitive Temperature Neutral.

Light Sensitive Temperature Neutral is a regional jam/funk band comprising of members from Rochester and surrounding areas. Led by vocalist Rachel Kroft, Chaz Santucci on guitar,Joe Vito on bass, Marc Johnson on keys, and Charlie Huber on drums, LSTN delivers a powerful, yet soothing sound.
Playing for close to an hour, the quintet warmed up the age diverse crowd with a solid blend of Phish and Grateful Dead sounds and vocals influenced by the likes of Bonnie Raitt and Susan Tedeschi. Grab yourself a Genny Red and sit back while the sounds propel you into a chill state.
Dating back to 1983, Joe Bellanti (keys), Corey Kertzie (drums) and Dave Ruch (guitar) have been playing together in various forms and venues as a Grateful Dead cover band. It wasn’t until after 37 years that they began creating more and more of their own music and subsequently creating Organ Fairchild in the process. On this evening, Vinnie Amico of moe. took over drumming duties.

With the debut of the new band, came the infamous COVID shutdown, however these three rode out the storm and developed quite a following in the process. Coming out of the shutdown, they were part of NYS Music March Madness in a quest to find the best up and coming NYS based band. Low and behold, they came out on top and began a new chapter with huge accolades.
Playing for roughly 90 minutes, Organ Fairchild offers a vibe that is part rock, part funk, and part jam. Equally distributed, each part is on full display with every song. It is clear why fans voted them the tops in 2021, and they continue to impress with each passing show.
