East & Alex Summer Busking Series announced the 2025 season from July through September to celebrate local culture and live music in downtown Rochester.
The free shows take place on the second Fridays of each month on July 11, Aug. 8 and Sept. 12 from 5 to 8 p.m. In downtown Rochester, performances on the streets of East Avenue, Alexander Street and Lawrence Street will feature over 10 local performers lined up down the sidewalks of the neighborhood.
After the music winds down, surrounding bars and restaurants will keep the night going and participating bars will offer a “Busker Cocktail Special” throughout the evening.
Featured local performers include: Mike Smith, Katie Allesandra, Josh Ketchum, Adrien D’Angelo, Xander, Patrick Jouan, Nate Coffey, Teressa Wilcox and Shimi the Entertainer.
Adrien D’Angelo is a Rochester singer-songwriter who regularly hosts open mics in the area. Shimi the Entertainer is a one-man-band, crossing genres from reggae to British rock with popular hits and original music.
East & Alex is a neighborhood in Rochester for Restaurant Row, The Entertainment District and The Happy Hour Hub. East & Alex also host Live before Five events every Thursday for Happy Hour in July and August.
