This year the LIMHOF will be awarding four $500 scholarships to graduating high school students from Nassau, Suffolk, Brooklyn, Queens, or Kings counties. Applicants must show interest in pursuing a career in music.

Student scholarship applications are due May 13, and the application can be found here.

The “Educator of Note” program recognizes music teachers and professors in college or high school who have demonstrated a commitment to music education. The winner will receive a grant that can be used within the school or district that they teach at.

Applications for the “Educator of Note” program are due September 30, and the application can be found here.

The LIMHOF was created as a place of community to inspire and explore Long Island music in all forms. The organization has elected 100 musicians and music industry executives to date. It also features traveling educational exhibits, including a mobile museum. You can learn more about the Long Island Music Hall of Fame here.
