Jon Lewis Band Premieres Video for “Cinnamon Only”

Upcoming album 'Get Wild Somewhere' due out in May

Jon Lewis Band has released the video for their single “Cinnamon Only,” off their upcoming album Get Wild Somewhere.

Based in Rochester, Jon Lewis Band has recorded eight studio albums in just under four years and have become a staple of the Rochester Indie/Roots sound. Their upcoming album, Get Wild Somewhere was recorded live with no overdubs in Los Angeles this past January (in just one and a half days) and will be released in May.

Lewis noted that this song in particular was chosen as the first single because of the comical yet dark tone to the song, a new favorite balance of the band and the first song written for the new album. Regarding the title of the song, “I did write it inspired by a cinnamon latte that I was drinking at a local coffee shop, but the metaphorical meaning extends far past that as well. It is about mounting feelings that you aren’t sure how to handle or keep to yourself, relating mostly to feeling uncomfortable in social situations.”

Jon Lewis Band will debut Get Wild Somewhere on May 18 at Three Heads Brewing in Rochester, and will be part of their hometown show at the Lilac Festival in May. Check out the NYS Music review of Baby Brother, released this past November.
