The Bearsville Theater in Woodstock and NYS Music have teamed up for a great collaboration and NYS Music is proud to present “New Music in the Lounge.” On Saturday, June 18th at 8:00 p.m, come out to Bearsville to see The Other Brothers, Seymour, and Love Port. Cost at the door is $8.
The Other Brothers, hailing from New Paltz, have a funky/bluesy sound that’s sure to get audience members dancing and grooving along. The distorted funk guitar drives their sound and the soulfully emotional vocals are sure to captivate listeners. The band is strongly influenced by the soul of the ’60s and ’70s and their improvisation skills are quite evident. The band has thrived in its local New Paltz scene and nearby Woodstock, is perfect to hone in on the new music scene.
Seymour, also from New Paltz, is a group that plays indie, rock, and jazz. The indie nature of the group is evident in the raw nature of its sound and its dream-like music video for the song “Calamine.” Their self-titled debut album was released just two months ago and it’s been getting a lot of positive feedback from press and fans alike. Come out for some fresh sounds and a good time.
