The Rochester International Jazz Festival has announced the inaugural RIJF Innovation Jazz Series. This new seven-concert series will allow audiences to experience the Jazz Festival’s exceptional selection of live jazz throughout the year. While the original festival takes place annually over nine days in June, the 2026-27 RIJF Innovation Jazz Series season will run from October to May.
The shows of the 2026-27 season will take place on one Thursday each month in Rochester’s Theater at Innovation Square. Seven different musical artists and groups will appear over the course of the season, beginning on Oct. 15 and ending on May 6, 2027. Among the list of performers are New York Voices, The Groover Quartet, and CONNECTED featuring Richie Goods and Chien Chien Lu.
Each concert of the series will last 90 minutes, beginning at 7:30 p.m. Series Passes, which secure holders’ seats for all seven shows in the RIJF Innovation Jazz Series, are available for purchase now; individual show tickets will go on sale Oct. 1.
