Jazz at the Lake Festival Returns to Lake George for 42nd Year

The 42nd annual Jazz at the Lake festival will make its return to Lake George this fall, bringing a weekend of live music and community to Shepard Park. The festival, running from Sept. 18 to 20, remains completely free to attend.

Over its past four decades, Jazz at the Lake has established itself as a much-loved annual tradition in the region. It is one of the longest-running jazz festivals in the country and attracts thousands of attendees each year to the scenic Shepard Park.

Because the festival is free to attend, everyone is equally welcome to share the joy of live music. Tanya Tobias, Executive Director of the Lake George Arts Project, explained that the open-to-all model gives the festival its defining “spirit of accessibility, discovery, and community.”

This year, festivalgoers will enjoy a new and improved experience, with an updated Shepard Park and a new stage. 2026’s lineup of performers includes Jerome Jennings & iLL Philosophy, Shayna Steele, and Miguel Zenón Quartet. For more information, visit the Lake George Arts Project website.
