There’s only a few days left until the 67th Annual Newport Folk Festival! Whether you’re attending the sold-out festivities or just an eager onlooker, here’s what you have to look forward to.
Festival App
The Newport Folk team recently dropped this year’s festival app, available on all app stores. Complete with the lineups, festival map, daily alerts, FAQs, and general information, gone are the days of having to Google onsite! And for those who want to map out their days before heading to The Fort, check out the ‘hearting’ feature. It’ll compile all the artists on your radar in one separate tab, ensuring that you don’t forget to attend any sets during the weekend.

Food and Artisans
Good news, food options are back and better than ever! From local favorites like Gansett Wraps and a classic cool Del’s Lemonade, to new allergen-friendly and vegan options, The Fort has great, affordable food for all.
With a comprehensive list of independent artisan vendors at the Craft Fair and Wylde Market, come visit The Quad for the perfect souvenir. And for the fifth year in a row, Wylde Hudson, based in Upstate NY, is partnering with Newport Folk to bring vintage finds to Ft. Adams. What’s better than a day near the water, listening to live folk, with new thrift finds in hand?
New Festival Rules
A few new rules have been set up for the 2026 festival. According to the festival, to improve security and speed up lines, only attendees with children ages nine or under may bring a stroller, cart, or wagon. Everything is now cashless, including festival parking, bars, and merch!
Who Should You See?
For a peek at the artists on our can’t miss list, take a look at our One Month Out coverage. Between 5 stages and over 50 artists, it’s certainly hard to pick and choose between sets. As for new acts added to the roster, it was announced this week that Father John Misty will replace Tedeschi Trucks Band, who can no longer attend due to health issues. Set changes may occur, so plan accordingly!
Pre and Post Festival Plans
For those looking to enjoy the festival the day before, the Newport Folk Allstar game is being held at Cardines Field On Thursday, July 22 at 7 pm. And if you want to make the music last a little longer, check out the Aftershow Benefits being held each night at different venues, including the Newport Blues Cafe, Parlor Bar & Kitchen, and Jane Pickens Theater. Tyler Ballgame, Courtney Barnett, Illiterate Light and BJ Barham, Mister Romantic (John C. Reilly), Joy Oladokun, and The Felice Brothers will all be playing sets out-and-about in Newport.
