New Orleans-based artist Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue has launched new tour dates for the Fall of 2026 with a mixture of funk, soul, R&B, rock, and New Orleans style brass music to be performed across venues in the Southern states as well as on the East Coast. Among the new dates, there will be three shows taking place in New York this October featuring the singer-songwriter from Texas, Abraham Alexander.
Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue will perform in New York live at The Paramount, Huntington on October 17, Troy Savings Bank Music Hall, Troy on October 20, and The Capitol Theatre, Port Chester on October 24.
Under the lead of Troy “Trombone Shorty” Andrews, the group is known for its high energy performances that incorporate jazz improvisation into rock and soul music.
Trombone Shorty, has become one of New Orleans’ most respected musicians who combine the traditions of brass band with more contemporary styles of funk, rock, jazz, and soul. He has won a Grammy Award, played at the Super Bowl, the White House, Madison Square Garden, and at festivals including Coachella, Bonnaroo, and Lollapalooza. Both through his music and through the Trombone Shorty Foundation, Andrews is keeping the music heritage of New Orleans alive and able to reach out to people around the world.
Presale for the newly announced tour dates will be on Wednesday, July 22 at 10:00 am local time. Local presales will be available Thursday, July 23 at 10:00 am local time and regular ticket sales starting Friday, July 24 at 10:00 am local time.
