Ursula Mangir’s New Single “Disturbed” Is a Personal Tale of Survival

Ursula Mangir is the newest creative artist in full form, from music to original pieces. Her new single, “Disturbed,” is an emotional track that details a very harrowing experience firsthand.

Based in Argyle in the Adirondacks, she’s a musician and an artist in her free time. Her visual art and music consistently intertwines and functions as her ultimate form of expression where she can speak from her heart.

“Disturbed” is described as an “agonizing crisis” that involves a personal family matter. The struggles Mangir faced in her experience led her to create the song, capturing emotions and words that have been left unsaid.

“Music literally saved my life,” Mangir shared. “‘Disturbed’ captures the absolute agony and isolation of this situation, but it is ultimately a song of survival. I wrote it to expose these hidden dynamics of post-separation abuse, to scream to the world that this behavior is never okay, and to show other victims that you can survive the unthinkable.”

The song starts with her soft vocals before diving into an aggressive trap beat. The lyrics dive into the experience she faced and how it changed her, with a poppy chorus. She bares it all in how it affected her and her relationship with her daughter.

Talking about her artistry, she shared why making music is so important to her. “For me, music is a humanitarian effort and a divine calling. When I perform, I feel a profound closeness to God and a duty to use my voice to bring healing and strength to a world that desperately needs it.”

Mangir made the artwork for the single herself, catching the eye with her trippy and transformative style. Just like her music, she has been able to use her creativity to empower herself to move forward.

Her next single, “Golden Jelly Pots,” releases on all platforms on July 4. Both singles are on her first album, Broken Princess.
