The Slambovian Circus of Dreams will make four New York appearances this summer and fall, with performances scheduled at Putnam Place in Saratoga Springs, along with stops in Homer, Pawling and Greenwich Village.

For more than two decades, the Hudson Valley-based band has built a devoted following through its eclectic sounds and playful live presence. Often described as psychedelic cosmic folk-rock, The Slambovian Circus of Dreams pairs thoughtful songwriting with sharp musicianship to create performances that feel spontaneous and alive.
While the band draws from artists such as Bob Dylan and David Bowie, its spirit is distinctly its own. At the center of the group is vocalist, songwriter and guitarist Joziah Longo. During live performances, Longo naturally weaves together original songs, humorous anecdotes and unexpected covers. As a result, no two shows ever feels the same.
The band’s 2022 album, A Very Unusual Head, showcases the creative character that has defined the band throughout its rich career. Notably, the album features contributions from Dar Williams, Anthony Thistlethwaite of The Waterboys and producer Kolson Pickard. Inspired in part by surrealist art and Longo’s lifelong admiration for Dylan, the record blends folk, rock and psychedelic textures into a collection of imaginative songs.
Tickets for the June 19 show at Putnam Place are available through the venue’s website. Additional ticket information and the band’s full tour schedule are available through The Slambovian Circus of Dreams’ tour page.
