Lost Radio Rounders Swing into Summer with America 250: Songs & Stories

Albany’s Lost Radio Rounders started 2026 on a high note, with the debut of the musical/historical program America 250: Songs & Stories at the Troy Savings Bank Music Hall this past January. Since then the Rounders have brought their program to a pair of libraries and two historical societies, but things will really kick into high gear this June and July with 13 more presentations – eight for private groups and five public events so far.

America 250: Songs & Stories uses songs to spotlight important events as well as social movements in our nation’s history. The acoustic trio, which features Lindsay on lead vocals and guitar, Michael Eck on mandolin and Paul “Bowtie” Jossman on banjo have also hit the airwaves with recent visits to Chris Wienk at WEXT and Sarah LaDuke of WAMC.

Upcoming shows will expand the group to four, with the addition of Jossman’s former Blotto bandmate Steven “Cousin Clyde” Davies on baritone guitar, and one will feature a guest spot by Insolent Willies multi-instrumentalist Bill Ackerbauer.

Rounder’s co-founder Tom Lindsay stated that the group “has five library shows scheduled at the moment, thanks to a strong recommendation from Colonie Library Director Elissa Valente.”

In mid-May Lost Radio Rounders were guests of two of New York’s oldest performing arts groups, the Mendelssohn Club of Albany and the Catskill Glee Club. The Mendelssohn Club was founded in 1909, and the Catskill Glee Club will mark its 100th anniversary in 2027. At the Mendelssohn Club Spring Concert Rounder Tom Lindsay was able to pay tribute to his late father Martin Allen Lindsay, a 51 year member of that male chorus.

Lindsay expects there will be more public shows, stating that they will be offering America 250: Songs & Stories to interested parties through November. Be sure to check www.lostradiorounders.com for updates.
