Twilight Music in the Park Series Returns

Walkway Over the Hudson’s Twilight Music in the Park series returns this summer with free, all-ages performances every Wednesday through Aug. 26. The concert series runs from 6 to 7 p.m. at the Ulster Welcome Center Plaza and features an eclectic lineup of Hudson Valley artists across folk, blues, jazz, rock and traditional Celtic music.

The season opened June 3 with veteran Hudson Valley guitarist and bassist Karl Allweier. Since then, audiences have enjoyed riverside performances from Beacon jazz guitarist Tony DePaolo, Jim Pospisil, Erin Hobson and others.

Next in the series is Hudson Valley folk and blues singer-songwriter Elly Wininger, who performs July 8. Winniger who has been member of the New York Blues Hall of Fame since 2014 is known for blending traditional folk, blues and roots music with thoughtful storytelling.

The fun continues July 15 with Storm King Band before O’Sullivan’s March takes the stage July 22, bringing Irish, Scottish and early American folk traditions to the Walkway. Rounding out July, the Straight-Ahead Jazz Trio performs July 29 with a set of jazz standards, soul, blues and bossa nova.
