Gully Boys brought their tour for their self-titled album to The Song and Dance in Syracuse on Tuesday, May 12.
To start the night, Every So Often, a Syracuse-based pop-punk band, played songs off of their December 19 release of The Fall & Everything After EP, such as their opening song, ‘ Party Boi Anthem’. Bringing in the ‘90’s nostalgia of the night, the crowd was asked if they enjoyed 90’s movies, leading into playing ‘Missing You’ from the 1996 movie Set It Off.

Gully Boys, the Minneapolis-based ‘90s grunge pop-punk band formed in 2016, is bringing back punk nostalgia through their music and fan interactions. Entering the stage each member had a clothing item with leopard print from tights to shirts.
Drummer Nadirah “Nadi” McGill asked, “How’s everyone’s Tuesday, rate on a scale of 1-10.” Various answers were shot back, but for the beginning of the week, the crowd was more than ready to indulge in what Gully Boys was offering.

‘Gimme A Second’ was the last “slow” paced song of the night, McGill said that part of the set is to “breathe and get in our bodies, back half of this set is about shaking ass and getting up.” Which couldn’t have been more true as their set transitioned into songs like ‘Bad Day’ and ‘Love Me 2’.
Before going into the crowd favorite ‘Murderapolis’, the band took a second to acknowledge everything going on in their home city over the past year. “Every time we have the opportunity to be in a different city, I want to use it as an example that you need to talk to your neighbors and organize now because it’s not a matter of if, it’s a matter of when, unfortunately.”

To end their Tuesday night set, Gully Boys came back out for an encore of ‘Neopet Graveyard’ leaving the crowd dancing and even some light moshing before staying
