Let the Words Be Yours – A Musical Gathering to Celebrate the Life and Songs of Bobby Weir, will take place at Colony Woodstock
on Sunday, April 5. The show, a benefit for HeadCount, will feature special guests and a house band of well-versed Grateful Dead musicians.

Bobby Weir was a founding member of the legendary Grateful Dead. Forming the band in 1965, he became one of rock’s most distinctive rhythm guitarists, shaping not only the sound of the Grateful Dead but also the culture of American music itself. Over six decades, Weir continued to inspire generations of artists and audiences alike, his contributions earning him recognition as one of the most influential figures in rock history.
This very special evening of music will gather some of the finest musicians from the Hudson Valley and beyond to celebrate the life of Weir. Including both electric and acoustic performances, songs will be led by a line-up of of special guests yet to be announced, along with a solid house band well-versed in the music of the Grateful Dead, featuring Garrin Benfield, Denise Parent, Jamie Flynn, Kyle Esposito, Kevin Griffin, Mike DuBois, and Kenny Schneidman.
Proceeds will benefit HeadCount, a non-profit organization whose mission is to use the power of music and popular culture to register voters and promote participation in democracy.
