A State Fair Tornado Warning Couldn’t Stop Busta Rhymes

On Tuesday, August 24, a tornado and several thunderstorms couldn’t stop the Busta Rhymes concert at The Great New York State Fair. The fair was closed for damage control but quickly reopened to accommodate a large crowd of eager fans. Awaiting for an evening of hip hop and incredible fast rap that is hard to match.

Busta, a.k.a. The Dragon, utilizes very little stage props, or people. Allowing his talent and the music to be the center of attention. Leaning into his high energy performance, charisma, and crowd report. Often leading the crowd in a call and response of his biggest hits.

Consequently, he performed a very lively and inspiring show. Allowing himself to get personal and discuss his trials and tribulations. Emphasizing the need to push through and to bounce back from life’s hard times. Making the artist not only likable but relatable.

Unfortunately, if you missed the show, there will not be an opportunity anytime soon. Concert dates are far and few in between. With a stop in Massachusetts on Sept 13, California on Sept 25, Arizona  on Sept 26, and Georgia on October 25. Better luck next time.
