The Music Matters Announces Indie Showcase to Support Our Wicked Lady Venue

The Music Matters, an Indie Music platform dedicated to showcasing NYC’s talented indie artists, has announced an Indie Music Showcase at Our Wicked Lady venue in Brooklyn, which has been fighting to keep its doors open.

The showcase will be held on May 3 at 2 pm and is part of ongoing efforts to keep the doors open at this iconic venue and celebrate NYC musicians.

The event will have a unique “confessional booth,” inviting the attendees to talk about their personal experiences of the event and community through an intimate interview setting. All footage from the confessional booth will be a part of a documentary set to release this fall that captures and celebrates the beautiful community at Our Wicked Lady.

Our Wicked Lady venue

Established in 2017, The Music Matters began as a passionate indie music blog and became an influential voice for local talent in NYC. They recently threw a three-night-extravaganza at Arlene’s Grocery, highlighting 14 incredible bands. Their event at Our Wicked Lady promises to be another influential event for NYC’s indie scene.

This event is a chance to be a part of indie music history and help save a legendary Brooklyn Venue. You can contribute directly to Our Wicked Lady’s ongoing fundraiser to help preserve this dynamic indie music hub, Save Our Wicked Lady GoFundMe.
