On Thursday, April 3, Benise brought his 25th Anniversary Tour to the historic Paramount Hudson Valley Theatre in Peekskill. This Thursday night was filled with passion, culture, and love of music.

Roni Benise was born in Nebraska but travels all over the world to share his music. He is no stranger to Peekskill as he has performed at the Paramount Hudson Valley Theatre several times in his career. The self-taught guitarist moved from Nebraska to California to pursue his music dreams. From there, he discovered his love of Spanish guitar, specifically, while listening to the radio. The rest is history as Benise began to meld different genres of music together. Specifically a blend of rock music and Spanish Guitar into a style he named “rockmenco.”
The Emmy Award-winning composer, Benise, and his cast of musicians and dancers are in the mixt of a 25th Anniversary Tour. The show features a variety of musical genres, from Vivaldi to Led Zeppelin. In addition, the show features a variety of dance styles, from Flamenco to Salsa.

The Paramount Hudson Valley Theatre truly set the stage for a fantastic show. The theater was originally opened in 1930 and has been hosting shows for almost 100 years. Benise and his cast of musicians and dancers brought the crowd from country to country sharing genres from the Cuban Salsa to the Brazilian Samba. The crowd was clapping along while dancers and musicians walked through the aisles.
The songs that included the whole cast performing together were truly special. It was clear that the cast was truly enjoying themselves and having fun, and the audience could sense it. The crowd was engaged and happy to happy and dance along. At the same time, the intimate songs were just as special – especially the song that Benise wrote for his firstborn son, “I Will Always Love You.”

This show is great for families between the high-energy music and dancing. While Benise won’t be returning to New York for the remainder of his 25 Anniversary tour, he will be visiting other locations in the North East. Be sure to visit his website here for tickets benise.com.
