Jordana Brings ‘Lively Premonition’ Tour to Bowery Ballroom

Jordana played Bowery Ballroom on Saturday, February 22. Included in the setlist was a play through of her newest album, Lively Premonition, which was released in October.

Opening the show was Wormy, who played their first show opening for Jordana in 2022 at Mercury Lounge, and Rachel Bobbitt.

Jordana’s first album Classical Notions of Happiness was written and self-produced in Wichita, Kansas in 2019. She has carved out her own space in the bedroom pop scene and has gone on to collaborate with a mix of artists since. A sample including Magdalena Bay and TV Girl, who she played a show with at Warsaw for Gov Ball After Dark this past year.

Her crowd work, including impressions of Jennifer Coolidge and Christopher Walken, kept the crowd laughing throughout the night. She played through her new album, Lively Premonition, including the opening track “We Get By” which is a dreamy mix reminiscent of the 70s tracks of Joni Mitchell and Steely Dan. The stage production, from the groovy pink and yellow lights to the sign featuring her name that lit up the back of the stage, felt like the perfect visuals to accompany Jordana’s electric pop-filled discography.

The show closed with a cover of Steely Dan’s “Any Major Dude Will Tell You” and a set of songs Jordana introduced as “the TV Girl trilogy.” In the spring, Jordana will continuing touring with some spots throughout Europe. She’ll be performing next at POPUP! in Paris on April 28
