And The Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame 2017 Nominees Are….

For some music fans, every year seems to be torture as they wait for their favorite band to get into the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame, located in the city of Cleveland. But for fans of Pearl Jam, Tupac Shakur, Depeche Mode, Electric Light Orchestra, Jane’s Addiction, Janet Jackson, Journey, The Cars, The Zombies, Yes, Bad Brains, Chaka Khan, Chic, J. Geils Band, Joan Baez, Joe Tex, Kraftwerk, MC5, and Steppenwolf, there is hope.  The way the nominations work, for a band to be eligible for nomination, a single from their first major record must be released 25 years prior to the year of nomination.  So in this case, the 2017 nominees had to release their first recording no later than 1991.

All  fingers are pointing to Pearl Jam, Tupac, and Yes leading the nominations to get in.  The official announcement for next year’s inductees will be in December.  You can go over the R&R HOF official website and cast your votes here. Fan voting ends December 6.

The official ceremony will be held at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn in April.  How do you feel about this year’s potential class?  Who got snubbed?  Sound off below!
