Fresh off of JRAD tour, Marco Benevento is back on the road again, this time in support of his latest solo release, The Story of Fred Short. Both the album and the tour feature Dave Dreiwitz (Ween, JRAD) on bass and Andy Borger (Norah Jones, Tom Waits) on drums. Having already impressed at the Luna Light Festival in Maryland, in Richmond, and in Raleigh in the past few days, the tour continues tonight at Terminal West in Atlanta, GA, tomorrow at New Mountain in Asheville, NC, and Saturday at The Pour House in Charleston, SC. The Eric Krasno Band will split the bill at each of these shows. Rounding out the fall, Benevento and company will head to Spirit of Suwannee Music Park to play next weekend’s Hulaween festival, where Marco will pull double-duty, peforming with his solo band and as part of the Benevento, Russo, and Burbridge reunion.
Marco will reconvene the band after the new year to show the northeast some love. New York area fans will have a chance to join the dance party at The Iron Works in Buffalo on January 31, at The Rongo in Ithaca on February 1, at the Brooklyn Bowl on Groundhog’s Day, at the Brooklyn Bowl on Groundhog’s Day, or at The Hollow in Albany on February 3.
