Charleston, SC favorites Runaway Gin: A Tribute to Phish kicked off their fall and winter tour dates with the Phall Grand Ball, featuring special guest Holly Bowling. The opener was Friday at the Charleston Music Hall, followed by Saturday’s performance at the Music Farm in Columbia, SC. Next weekend the tour continues with stops at the 1904 Music Hall in Jacksonville, FL on Friday (9/16) and Saturday (9/17) in Tampa, FL for a headlining slot at WMNF 88.5’s Groovefest @ Skipper’s. The quartet returns to Charleston on Friday (10/14) to play the Ophishal Tour Opener Afterparty at the Pour House, which also plays host to the band’s regular Sunday residency.
November will see the band take a southern swing, featuring a debut at the Zydeco (11/11) in Birmingham, AL and shows in Oxford, MS (11/12), Greenville, SC (11/17), before venturing north for a Saturday night show at the Highline Ballroom in New York (11/19) and a Sunday gig at Gypsy Sally’s in Washington, DC (11/20).
The tour promises to finish strong with a two-night run at the Rabbit Hole in Charlotte, NC (12/16-17), a three-set New Year’s Eve performance at Smith’s Olde Bar in Atlanta, GA, and a debut show at the Exit/In in Nashville, TN (1/7) to conclude the tour.
