Modest Mouse Announces Fall Dates

Brooklyn, Albany, Syracuse, Buffalo will all Float On

Alt-rock veterans, Modest Mouse announced fall tour dates to add to its current slate of dates. This tour will see the Washington state band visiting Brooklyn, Albany, Syracuse and Buffalo in October.

The tour kicks off on Sept. 17 in LaCrosse, WI and works through the Midwest before hitting Buffalo to start October. After several dates throughout the Northeast and Southeast, the tour winds down in Wichita, KS on Oct. 21. For more information on the new slate of dates, visit Modest Mouse’s website here.

Modest Mouse made its debut in 1996 with the album,This is a Long Drive for Someone with Nothing to Think About and hit the U.S. pop and modern rock charts with the single, “Float On” in 2004 from the Grammy nominated album, Good News for People Who Love Bad News.

The band currently lists seven members, with lead vocalist/guitarist Isaac Brock the only constant member since the band’s inception in 1993. Drummer Jerimiah Green is also an original member of the band. He left briefly in 2003 but returned the following year and has been with the band since. They have six studio albums to their credit, with 2015’s Strangers to Ourselves being the latest.

Tickets for the shows will be available through fan club pre-sale on Wednesday, May 16 at 10:00 a.m. General on-sale begins Friday, May 18, also at 10:00 a.m.
