Animal Collective celebrated more than 20 years since the release of their critically acclaimed album, Feels, with two sold out performances at Knockdown Center in Maspeth, Queens on October 21-22.

It was the first time since 2022 that all four members of the group — Avey Tare, Panda Bear, Geologist and Deakin — performed together live.
Performing the album Feels in its entirety, the setlist largely consisted of deep cuts and rare demos — including several tracks they have not played in almost two decades.
Crowds of eager fans filled the venue for both nights of the show. Both of the sets were virtually identical, with only one difference — the encore.
Singer-songwriter Wendy Eisenberg and multi-instrumentalist/producer More Eaze opened for Animal Collective during the historic two-night run in New York City, with a performance of new music as the experimental duo, Whait.
Animal Collective opened with “Did You See The Words,” which was the first time they performed it live since 2013. Unlike songs like “Grass” and “The Purple Bottle,” which have worked their way into the band’s repertoire over the last two decades, the performance featured some rare gems like “Daffy Duck” and “My Favorite Colors,” which they have not played in years.
Among the many highlights from the Oct. 22 performance was an enthralling rendition of “Bees” featuring Avey Tare on autoharp.
The limited run continued on the west coast with performances at the Fonda Theatre in Los Angeles and Fox Theater in Oakland.
