PB&J Brings Kingfish, Vanessa Collier and Nick Moss to Plattsburgh this Fall

Plattsburgh Blues and Jazz, a collective dedicated to bringing the soul of music to life in the heart of the North Country, has announced three big shows this fall, all in Plattsburgh. Featuring shows including Christone “Kingfish” Ingram, Vanessa Collier, and Nick Moss featuring Dennis Greunling, a dose of the blues is en route to northern New York starting this week.

The PB&J mission is simple – to connect the community with a host of different world-class musical experiences that inspire, unite, and uplift. From legendary artists and Grammy and Blues Music Award winners to rising stars, our events create a space for music lovers to gather, celebrate, and discover new sounds. With all genres of music featured and a mix of professional touring bands paired with local talent, PB&J brings live music to venues and spaces throughout the North Country, creating a haven for music lovers and offering unforgettable performances by world-class artists, local talents, and emerging stars.

Ingram is a Grammy Award winner and 13-time Blues Music Award recipient, bringing his electrifying Hard Road Tour to the Strand Center for the Arts in Plattsburgh on Tuesday, October 6 at 7 PM.  Kingfish has become the biggest name in blues, captivating audiences worldwide with his jaw-dropping guitar playing and soulful vocals. Opening the evening is the sensational Angelique Francis Band, making this a night of world-class blues you won’t want to miss.

On October 14, Vanessa Collier will be at Retro Live, where fans can get ready for a powerhouse night of blues, soul, and funk via Collier’s fiery saxophone. A 15-time Blues Music Award nominee and a five-time winner for Best Instrumentalist Horn as well as Contemporary Blues Female Artist of the Year, her live performances are dynamic, heart-stringing, engaging, and soulfully breathtaking.

On this evening, Retro Live will be transformed into a live music club with tables, chairs, and room to dance. Come and experience Vanessa Collier live, and you will understand why audiences around the world keep asking for her back.

The on Saturday, November 21, The Nick Moss Band, featuring Dennis Greunling, will take over Retro Live where fans can discover for themselves that Nick Moss is the real deal: a powerhouse guitarist and soulful singer raised in Chicago’s historic blues clubs. Nick and his band have been crowned Band of the Year by the Blues Music Awards (2x), Traditional Male Blues Artist of the Year, Album of the Year, and Song of the Year.

Adding to this show is Dennis Greunling, who has won Harmonica Player of the Year and is one of the top harmonica players anywhere. This leads to one of the tightest touring bands around, playing tough, real Chicago blues by musicians at the top of their game. Vermont legend Nobby Reed and his band will be opening the show, where Retro Live will morph into a Chicago Blues Music Club with high-top tables, a wrap-around balcony, and plenty of room to move around, dance and visit with friends.
