Rochester-based modern rock band Electric Horizons have officially released their high-spirited self-titled debut album. Supported by two stellar singles, this young, passionate band is set to make strides in the rock world.
Work on this album spanned over two years, making Electric Horizons’ debut album a true labor of love. Each song was meticulously crafted to ensure the album as a whole became a full realization of the band’s vision. Sonically, the album draws from classic rock, funk, folk, and blues rock. This fusion of genres makes for a sound fueled by inspiration but still remains uniquely their own.
Electric Horizons’ debut single “The Gold Room” was a strong release that gets right to the heart of the band’s talent. The electrifying guitar parts and heavy-hitting drums make the song feel as if it could have come from a completely different generation. Likewise, their second single “Winds of Valhalla” flawlessly showcases the raw vocals they bring to their songs. The combination of instrumental and lyrical abilities show that Electric Horizons possesses a musical wisdom beyond their years.
Electric Horizons began when drummer Ray Crane and guitarist Jonathan Dell’Anno crossed paths through Rochester’s local music community at just 13 and 14 years old. After playing with each other, the two realized the creative chemistry they shared and decided to start a band. Thus, the search began for a few more members to round out the group. They landed on vocalist Henry Manley, an experienced choir singer who shifted to the rock scene, and bassist/pianist Dan Murphy. Whether in the studio or on the stage, Electric Horizons has undeniable chemistry that truly shines through in their music.
After two years of hard work, Electric Horizons says their debut “means everything to us and defines who we are as young musicians and humans.” This is an incredibly impressive debut album that is undoubtedly worth your time.
To support the album release, Electric Horizons will be having a free release show at Record Archive in Rochester on Friday September 25. Doors will open at 4:30 p.m. and the show will begin at 5:00 p.m.
