The country-pop singer was also celebrating a special event of her own: ten years since the release of her debut album, HERO. It features two of her most well-known hits, “80s Mercedes” and “My Church,” both of which were played by Morris and her band on The Today Show.

In honor of HERO‘s 10 year anniversary, Morris announced on June 3 that she would be releasing HERO: A Second Wind: a rerecording of the original album complete with three bonus songs, two new songs from the vault, and four original, never-before-heard demos. The album, which was released on June 26, features the previously unreleased “Hard Liquor Soft Rock.” Making it’s live television debut, the timeless nature of Morris’ classic country tunes is put on full display.

Even though “Hard Liquor Soft Rock” was written ten years ago during the original writing sessions for HERO, it blends perfectly into her long-running discography and current pop-country music trends.

Morris also played her multi-platinum hit “The Bones,” which was released in 2019 off her second album, Girl. The wholesome song had the entire crowd singing and swaying along in the early hours of the day.
