Music on the Green Returns to Saranac Lake with Free Summer Concerts

Music on the Green returns to downtown Saranac Lake this summer, bringing eight weeks of free live music to Riverside Park Bandshell every Wednesday from 7pm-9pm, starting July 1 through August 19.

This event is held in collaboration with ROOST and the North Country Sports Council and features a range of artists which include local, regional, and touring acts. Genres covered during this event include blues rock, world music, country music, folk music, hip hop, funk, and psychedelic cumbia.

Music on the Green is an annual event held in Riverside Park, which is located in downtown Saranac Lake. It is an event that has become popular with residents and visitors because it includes many community activities for everybody. People are expected to come with chairs or blankets where they can enjoy some musical performance next to the Saranac River. In the event of rain, the performances will be moved to Hotel Saranac indoors.

2026’s Music on the Green schedule includes Helen Gillet from New Orleans on July 1, Foolish Pride on July 8, and psychedelic cumbia band, Chicha Libre from Brooklyn, on July 15. After that will be the Dwayne Haggins Band on July 22 and Austin & The In-Laws on July 29.

Coyote Reverie is performing on August 5, Nubble on August 12, and Billy Wylder on August 19.

August 19 – Billy Wylder (Burlington, VT) – Hip-Hop / Funk / Neo-Soul

The Music on the Green festival has received support from a range of local businesses, institutions, and other community organizations, including Adirondack Health, Hotel Saranac, Community Bank, Charles R. Wood Foundation, Cloudsplitter Foundation, and NYS Music.
