Visual and performing arts organization Tupper Arts is set to host the Adirondack Stage Rats’ staged reading of Misery, based on the Stephen King novel of the same name. The reading will take place in Tupper Lake at the Tupper Arts Center on October 24 at 4 PM, and a $10 donation at the door is suggested.

This production of Misery stars Tyler Nye as romance novelist Paul Sheldon, who awakens post car crash to find himself in the captivity of his demented and devoted “number one fan” Annie Wilkes, played by Leslie Dame. Also featured in this production is Christopher Leifheit as local law man Buster. Adapted from the Stephen King classic, Misery was written by William Goldman and is directed by Jordan Hornstein. Wine, beer, and other goodies will be available for this event.
