The Mayor’s Office of Media and Entertainment (MOME) has announced the programming for the 9th annual New York Music Month (NYMM), New York City’s official music festival held every June to celebrate New York’s music industry.
The month will feature over 60 free events for artists, industry professionals and fans, presented in collaboration with 60 music industry partners. Events will include over 20 performances, over 40 talks, expert-led panels, workshop and masterclasses on key industry issues and the NYMM conference. The NYMM website also includes an Around the City Calendar that allows anyone hosting a music event during June to promote their event for free.

“This year’s New York Music Month marks a new chapter for the city. Under Mayor Mamdani, we’re treating music as a core part of New York’s identity and economy supporting the artists, industry professionals, crews, and spaces that give New York its sound,” said MOME Commissioner Rafael Espinal “With 60+ free events and resources across all five boroughs, we’re opening the door wider, because in New York, music isn’t a luxury, it’s essential.”
NYMM performances will include the Radio City Concert Series. This series, produced by co-sign, aims to showcase the importance of Independent Radio in New York City via events curated by local noncommercial radio partners including WNYC, WFUV, WFMU, The Lot Radio, Sheroes Radio, East Village Radio, Maker Park Radio and WKCR.
The NYMM Concert 3 Part Series is also a performance highlight. Produced by MeanRed Productions, concerts will be held at Le Poisson Rouge, SOBs, and Herbert Von King Park. Featured artists include Timi Dre, Jubilee, Ultra Violet, Quiana Parks, The Antlers, Dariel Amant, SALIMATA and others.
Many other events featuring emerging artists shaping NYC’s music scene and culture will be held throughout the month.
NYMM is more than performances, it is a time to amplify the New York City music industry by creating opportunities for performance, professional development, industry education, and meaningful connection.
