Music lovers and nature seekers, Opus 40 is calling. This summer, the Saugerties sculpture park is partnering with The Local once again to turn its monumental bluestone landscape into a summer stage, with ten performances scheduled from late June through September.

This year’s lineup stretches across Afro-Cuban music, reggae, indie rock, desert blues, psychedelic cumbia, disco, and New Orleans-inspired soul. Altogether, the range of genres will bring in global and regional artists including Emily King, Chicha Libre, Cindy Cashdollar, and The Big Takeover.
Meanwhile, a network of local teams will be behind the scenes, helping to bring the concerts to life. Utopia Studios Bearsville will handle sound and production, with lighting by Studio RRD.

Opus 40’s 2026 season marks 50 years since the late sculptor Harvey Fite completed the monumental earthwork he built by hand. Since then, the sprawling sculpture park has evolved into one of the Hudson Valley’s most recognizable venues and continues to welcome artists including Jimmy Cliff, Sonny Rollins, Richie Havens, and Sun Ra Arkestra to its quarry stage. In fact, Rolling Stone called it “the best outdoor performance venue in the Northeast.”
Desert blues musician Nour Harkati will open the season during the Summer Solstice celebration on June 20. Additional performance details are available on Opus 40’s event calendar.
