Albany’s free Summer Concert Series – Alive at Five – returns this June and July for the 37th season, starting on Thursday June 4th.
In a shift from past years, Alive at Five will be held at 4 different venues and locations around the city, in a forward-thinking effort to reach different communities within the Capital city and promote local businesses.
The signature free concert series, Alive at Five premiered in the Summer of 1990 with a performance by legendary folk artist Richie Havens, since growing into a staple of summer in the Capital Region. This year’s season begins on June 4 and runs through July 16 (with no show on July 2).
The lineup once again showcases a diverse lineup of big names, paired with up-and-coming acts, including the Capital Region’s most talented original local artists.
This year, four different venues will host Alive at Five – Jennings Landing, where Alive at Five was held for the past decade before shifting in 2025; Tricentennial Park, located on Broadway and location for the 2025 season; on Broadway in the Warehouse District, and the Washington Park Lakehouse. The variety of venues is a unique effort this year, showcasing a variety of outdoor venues scattered across Albany.
All Alive at Five concerts take place from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday nights.

Alive at Five’s rain location at the Corning Preserve Boat Launch under the 787 bridge will continue to serve as an alternate site in case of inclement weather.
