Empower FCU Amphitheater will mark its 10th season with a free community celebration Sunday, May 31 from 1 to 7 p.m. at 490 Restoration Way in Syracuse. Admission and parking are both free.

The open-house event gives the public access to areas of the 17,500-capacity venue normally reserved for artists and premium ticketholders, including self-guided backstage tours, access to the VIP Club and on-stage photo opportunities.
Guests can also register for a digital passport and collect tokens across 10 venue zones featuring community partners and interactive activities. Completed passports enter participants into drawings for concert tickets, parking passes, recreational parks packages and VIP experiences.
Onondaga County Executive Ryan McMahon, whose office oversees the venue, framed the celebration as a thank-you to the CNY community.
“Ten years ago, we opened these gates with a vision to bring world-class entertainment to Central New York,” McMahon said. “This milestone belongs to all of us, and this celebratory event is our way of saying thank you.”
A 20-minute ceremony with dignitary speeches and a commemorative video premiere is scheduled for 3:50 p.m. on the main stage. Toss N Fire and Bull and Bear Roadhouse food trucks will be on site with food available for purchase at the Community Celebration.
Beyond concert season, the amphitheater doubles as Lakeview Park, a public recreational greenspace open year-round for trails and outdoor activities.
More details on zone activations and guest appearances will be announced in the coming weeks at syrvenues.com.
