CBGB Festival Returns to Brooklyn With Massive Lineup Featuring Morrissey, Patti Smith, Interpol and More

New York’s punk legacy comes roaring back this fall as the legendary CBGB & OMFUG – Home of Underground Rock announces the return of the CBGB Festival on Saturday, September 26 at Under the K Bridge Park in Brooklyn. Following the success of last year’s debut event, the 2026 edition looks even bigger, blending punk pioneers, alternative icons, hardcore legends, and the next generation of underground voices into one stacked all-day celebration.

Headlining this year’s festival are Morrissey, Patti Smith, Interpol, and Sex Pistols featuring Frank Carter alongside original members Steve Jones, Paul Cook, and Glen Matlock. Also joining the bill are Bikini Kill and Mannequin Pussy, ensuring a fierce mix of classic influence and modern intensity.

The festival digs deeper into CBGB’s roots with appearances from hardcore staples Circle Jerks and Agnostic Front, while newer acts like Militarie Gun, High Vis, Bad Nerves, Panic Shack, Upchuck and Violet Grohl represent the scene’s future. Fans can also expect a special appearance from Fred Armisen’s Ramones tribute band, The Return of Jackie and Judy.

More than just a concert, CBGB Festival aims to recreate the spirit of the famed Bowery club that helped launch the careers of Ramones, Blondie, Talking Heads, Television and Patti Smith Group. Festival-goers can expect immersive CBGB installations, including replicas of Hilly Kristal’s office, the original bar, and the iconic stage, plus merch, food, and drinks throughout the grounds.

Set beneath the industrial backdrop of Brooklyn’s Under the K Bridge Park, this year’s event promises the kind of raw atmosphere that fits the CBGB name. It’s a rare chance to see multiple generations of punk and alternative music collide in one place — from the artists who built the movement to the bands carrying it forward.

Fans can register now for presale access at CBGBFest.com. Presale tickets begin Thursday, April 23 at 10 a.m. ET, with the public on-sale starting Friday, April 24 at 10 a.m. ET.
