Maverick Concerts has announced its 2026 season, adding to a long history of presenting a wide variety of talented musicians and musical traditions, including chamber music, world-class jazz, and world and contemporary music. The 2026 program will run from June 27th to September 13th at the Maverick Concert Hall in West Hurley, NY.

This summer’s season will focus on American composers and performers as a celebration of the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence. Maverick Concerts has dedicated itself to offering diverse, high-quality performances that celebrate and feature new artists and themes each season.
Exceptional pianists such as Angela Hewitt, Reed Tetzloff, Brian Zeger, Henry Kramer, Carter Johnson, Anthony Ratinov, and Awadagin Pratt will join the season’s roster. In addition, the American Chamber Music Society of Chicago and the Chamber Music Society of Fort Worth will join the lineup.

The season will additionally feature Bill Charlap, Isaiah J. Thompson, and Fred Hersch as jazz pianists headlining the powerful jazz offering. Major string quartets such as the Danish, Escher, Pacifica, Catalyst, Verona, KASA, Callisto, and Borromeo will return, also bringing unique pieces.

Maverick concerts will also highlight the Americana and creative music industry, featuring artists from Woodstock. These distinctive artists include Cindy Cashdollar, alongside Jack Petuzzelli and Friends, and Rachael Yamagata with Larry Campbell and Teresa Williams.
Arkai, a 2026 Grammy winner for Best Contemporary Instrumental Album, will also join the festival with their Maverick debut.

In addition, Creative Music Studios and Ingrid Sertso, the co-founder, will return to the festival with Paul Winter, a saxophonist, Henrique Eisenmann, a pianist, and Steve Gorn, a bansuri master, who will lead Indian classical “Ragas” with other guest musicians.
On July 4th, a program of American Songs from Everywhere will be led by Joel Harrison and Friends.
The season will also highlight niche American masterpieces by Walter Piston, Charles Ives, George Walker, Amy Beach, Aaron Copland, Arthur Foote, Peter Schickele, Coleridge-Taylor Perkinson, Samuel Barber, Florence Price, Igor Stravinsky, Erich Korngold, and Alexander Von Zemlinsky. In addition, contemporary composers John Adams, Philip Glass, George Tsontakis, Missy Mazzoli, and Robert Manno will join a special evening dedicated to American art song.
An Evening Postlude recital of Charles Ives’s Concord Sonata will also be offered during the season by pianist Reed Tetzloff. In addition, Isaiah J. Thompson, an American Piano Awards winner, with his trio, will make his Jazz at the Maverick debut.

Angela Hewitt, an acclaimed pianist, will perform music by Bach, Couperin, and Ravel. Evren Orzel, a Van Cliburn Competition Prizewinner, will debut with WindSync, a woodwind quintet, for a unique arrangement of Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue for piano and winds.
The season will also feature quartets and quintets by Hayden, Beethoven, Mozart, Schumann, Brahms, Mendelssohn, Ravel, and Dvořák as part of the Mavericks tradition of presenting “Music in the Woods.”

Saturdays during the season will once again feature Maverick Family Saturdays with short and engaging audiences created for young audiences. These performers will include Harlem Chamber Players, Peter Blum, a Himalayan singing-bowl artist, and more.
