The Saratoga Film Showcase will host a lineup of independent short films. Signaling growth as an annual event in Saratoga Springs, the weekend-long showcase takes place January 23–25.

The event serves the region by creating a unique space for artists and audiences to connect through creative work. Following its successful debut, the event has notably expanded to a lineup of 31 short films while remaining grounded in small, community-oriented settings.
Friday, January 23 – Programming will open at Putnam Place with Shorts After Dark, a screening featuring boundary-pushing short films. The party does not end there as the event welcomes a seven-piece funk rock band, making formality an afterthought for the night. 7:00 PM – 11:00 PM
Saturday, January 24– On Saturday, Saratoga Art dives into two curated film blocks. Coming to terms is a block that explores the unanticipated, highlighting characters that face the unknown or confront fears. Art about Art is a block that draws attention to films that possess other artistic mediums embedded within them. In addition, a discussion panel that includes Oscar-winning makeup artist Annemarie Bradley will illuminate the possibilities within cinematic effects. The unpredictability continues as special effects artist RJ Young applies a live horror makeup gag to a model. 12:00 PM – 11:00 PM

Sunday, January 25 – Sunday, emphasizes the locality of film showcasing the Home-Grown program, a project that allows local filmmakers to showcase their work on the big screen, reflecting the regional area around Saratoga Art while unifying both fresh and experienced storytellers. 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM
Organizers value weekend passes at $100 and offer them on a sliding scale. They will accept donations at the door, and pass holders who pre-order before January 23 receive priority access to sessions throughout the weekend.
