The Binghamton Philharmonic Orchestra is proud to perform “Pops at the Forum: A Tribute to the American Spirit” at Broome County Forum Theatre in Binghamton on March 1 at 7:30 p.m.

“Pops at the Forum: A Tribute to the American Spirit” celebrates the optimism and life of America and the continuing strength and determination of Americans. The presentation will feature Music Director Maestro Daniel Hege, whose Native American heritage brings a unique cultural perspective to the program. The program features a number of symphonic pieces that exemplify the recognizable “American sound” of rhythm and melody from the Northern and Southern hemispheres, including works from Duke Ellington, Florence Price, Adolphus Hailstork, John Philip Sousa and more. In addition to the musical program, Black American Art from Binghamton University’s Art Museum will be on display in the Forum Theatre’s Recital Hall.
The Binghamton Philharmonic serves as the Southern Tier’s largest and longest-serving professional symphony orchestra with the founding purpose to perform live, full-scale orchestral works. The BPO received the American Prize for Orchestral performance among American professional symphony orchestras. Today, the BPO serves over 10,000 people annually through their yearly programming towards their mission of “Building Community Through the Power of Live Music.”
