Isaac Mizrahi Returns to 54 Below for Annual Summer Residency

Isaac Mizrahi, a multi-talented performer, designer, and cultural commentator, is returning to 54 Below in New York City for his annual summer residency. From August 12 to 15, Mizrahi will once again take the stage with his acclaimed jazz band, Hooray, delivering a captivating show filled with music, storytelling, and comedy. The residency promises to be a whirlwind of creativity, featuring music from the likes of Billie Eilish to Cole Porter, giving audiences a range of genres.

Mizrahi’s performances are celebrated for their unique mix of social commentary with insights on politics, media, and the arts. The New York Times has hailed his work as foundational to a genre that fuses performance, art, music, and stand-up comedy, cementing his status as a pioneer in the field.

With over 35 years in entertainment, media, and fashion, Mizrahi has established himself as a dynamic force across multiple industries. As a performer, host, writer, designer, producer, and actor, he has earned praise for his ability to bend boundaries and redefine artistic expression.

His annual residencies at Café Carlyle and 54 Below have become a highlight of the summer season for New Yorkers, drawing audiences in, eager to experience his wit, music, and theatrical flair. In 2022, Mizrahi made his Broadway debut as “Amos Hart” in Chicago, furthering his versatility and impact on the stage and off the stage. 

In 2025, the cult-classic documentary Unzipped, which he co-created and starred in, celebrated its 30th anniversary with a special screening at the Sundance Film Festival. His Emmy Award-winning talk show, The Isaac Mizrahi Show, ran for seven seasons, while his role as a judge on Project Runway All Stars showcased his fashion expertise.

In addition to his career in fashion and film, Mizrahi has directed productions for the Opera Theatre of Saint Louis, designed costumes for the Metropolitan Opera, and annually directs and narrates Peter and the Wolf, a production created for the Guggenheim Museum.

Recognized with a 2022 Tony Award Honor for Excellence in the Theatre, 54 Below is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing opportunities for emerging and established artists.

The club, located at 254 West 54th Street, Cellar in New York City, hosts over 700 shows annually, featuring fine dining, Broadway-caliber scenic design, and state-of-the-art lighting and sound.
