Lisa Arce to Preview Upcoming Single at Long Island Show

With an upcoming Long Island show, Greenport-based singer-songwriter Lisa Arce is introducing wider audiences to her powerful vocals and heartfelt lyricism. Arce will be performing in Massapequa Park next month, a show that will include an as-yet-unreleased song.

Lisa Arce

Based in Greenport, Long Island, Arce is an Italian-American artist who draws from a variety of genres in her work, from pop and rock to Americana and soul. Her debut single “Slow Road to Nowhere” was released in 2007 and still gets regular radio play on Tin Roof Radio. Now, Arce’s catalog consists of eleven songs, most recently “Through And Through,” which came out in 2025. When she is not making music, Arce teaches yoga and Pilates.

As a performer, Arce thrives in a variety of settings. Though she releases music as a solo artist, she also makes stage appearances with her band, The Tolerance, and as part of the Sly & LeeLee duo with guitarist Sly Geralds. Her stage credits include a show on the main stage at New York City’s 2024 Famous Food Festival.

On Wednesday, Dec. 2, Arce and The Tolerance are set to play a headline show at Prohibition, a popular live music venue in Massapequa Park. This show will feature the first-ever live performance of Arce’s upcoming single “StressIn,” which is set to be released in January. Co-written with Nelson Arce, the song expresses the mingled pain and joy that come with a tumultuous relationship.

Arce explained, “‘StressIn’ is a fictional account of a person in a difficult relationship. It talks about that familiar feeling of love being sweet like sugar cane — all the pleasure, all the pain — and then the next line is ‘nothing ventured, nothing gained,’ so there is this risking it all for a stressed-out kind of love. Later verses show the strong physical connection these two people share, which is why it is so hard to let the relationship go — so they always leave each other stressin’.”

At other key points in her discography, Arce shows a similar interest in the complicated realities of love. “Slow Road to Nowhere” mourns the inevitable dissolution of a dead-end relationship, while self-assured contrarian anthems “I Don’t Need You” and “I Don’t Wanna” lean into cathartic anger. “Through And Through,” on the other hand, celebrates the bliss of loving someone wholeheartedly. Throughout her body of work, Arce’s dynamic, energetic vocals communicate strength and positivity even when dealing with difficult emotions.
