Stella Lefty performed at Chevy Court for The Great New York State Fair on Sunday, September 6. Best known for her breakout single ‘Boston’, she was a highly anticipated act this fair season. Just minutes before her set began, she had packed Chevy Court, and fans were filling the surrounding areas to see her performance.

Fans lined the barricade, some with signs and others with hats that said “Lefty,” waiting eagerly for her to come out. As soon as the opening playlist stopped, the crowd was in an uproar, and Stella Lefty ran out onto the stage, going right into ‘Thinkin’ bout You.’

In between songs, she told the crowd how this has been the craziest year of her life. Her music took the internet by storm, landing her a #2 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 list for ‘Boston’, logging multiple weeks in the top 10.
Lefty introduced ‘Whiskey’ from her recent album, dedicating the song to anyone in the crowd drinking. The introduction drew cheers from the audience, adding a lighthearted moment between Lefty and her fans.

Towards the end of her set, Lefty teased a cover song. Telling everyone to sing because “you definitely know the lyrics.” As soon as the opening notes of ‘Unwritten’ by Natasha Bedingfield began, everyone was singing and dancing along with her.
One of the most memorable moments of the set was the sweet and sentimental introduction of ‘Something to Lose.’ “I feel in love this year, and obviously when someone who writes songs falls in love, they write more songs.” Fans laughed and cheered at her playfulness before joining in singing alongside Lefty.

After ‘Slow Dancin’, which she deemed a “mandatory dance song,” the most anticipated song of the evening began to play over the speakers. The crowd screamed and cheered loudly before singing back the lyrics of ‘Boston.’ Fans danced with one another, watching Lefty go back and forth across the stage, connecting with the audience.
Stella Lefty’s debut at the Great New York State Fair was more than successful and memorable, especially for the fans afterwards who got the chance to have items signed by her.
